ANNEKE SCOTT (natural horn) and KATHRYN COK (fortepiano)

The Scott/Cok duo was formed in 2003 bringing together "two rising stars of the chamber music scene" Anneke Scott (natural horn) and Kathryn Cok (fortepiano). Having met through performing with The Etesian Ensemble the two musicians enjoy performing the highly expressive and virtuosic repertoire for horn and fortepiano.

Their vibrant explorative performances have been greeted with acclaim. In 2008-2009 the duo were selected as two of Making Music (UK)'s Concert Promoters Network Artists and in 2009 undertook a concert tour of the Netherlands for the Oudemuziek Netwerk.

2011 saw the release of their debut disc - Sonatas for Horn and Fortepiano - featuring music by Krufft, Beethoven, Haydn and Leidesdorf, on the Challenge Classics Label. 2012 will see many performances including their debut concert at the Purcell Room, at Queen Elizabeth Hall, London.

Having performed for festivals including The Buxton Festival, The International Guildford Festival, New Generation Arts Festival and The Suffolk Villages Festival Anneke and Kathryn have gained a reputation for their communicative performances. Both artists specialise in performing on original instruments and have frequently performed at some of the worlds most important instrument collections including The Horniman Museum, Fenton House, The Cobbe Collection and St Cecilia Hall (Edinburgh).

The duo perform a wide range of works ranging from compositions by Beethoven, Schubert, Haydn and Mozart through to unjustly neglected composers such as Lachner, Nisele, Leidesdorf, Jadin and Reicha. As well as championing a number of these forgotten masters the duo also enjoys promoting repertoire by composer/performers such as Dauprat, Duvernoy and Gallay.
